There is plenty in the news this week that’s worth a mention.

The Didim International Peace Festival starts this Sunday August 31st. The festival, now in its 13th year, continues over 3 days and people from the UK, Germany, Greece and Turkey are expected to attend the festival. All events over the 3 day period will be free of charge.

The clue is in the spelling. Stalagmites (M for mountain) grow upwards and stalactites come…er…down. (beg pardon). “He’s definitely lost the plot this week,” I hear you cry, but no, bear with me.

Archaeologists found the remains of a 1500 year old skeleton in the excavations carried out around the Apollon Temple, whilst trying to discover the Holy road.
